Orestis Panagiotou

Orestis Panagiotou was born on the island of Lesbos in 1965.
He studied Law at the Law School, University of Athens, and Photography at the Stavrakos School and at the Technological Educational Institution of Athens.

He has been working as a photojournalist since 1992. Over the last 22 years, he has been working for the Athens News Agency and with the European Pressphoto Agency. His photos are published in the Greek and international press.

He and his friend and fellow photographer Leonidas Dimakopoulos published the book
“Places of Exile “, (Athens, 2009, Alexandria Publications), with the collaboration of distinguished historians. He has worked for several years for the Municipal Gallery of Athens and the Benaki Museum reproducing artworks to be published in books.

He has also worked for several years for the “POP and ROCK” magazine and with DIDI music, covering rock concerts. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions.

He speaks English, French and Spanish.
